Stretching ten miles along the Pacific Coast, The Sea Ranch provides a dramatic site for a carefully planned residential development. The challenge was to develop the site for vacation homes without destroying the landscape. Moore Lyndon Turnbull Whitaker designed a cluster of ten model units grouped tightly together to create a community and to leave as much of the site open as possible. This project was awarded the National AIA's Twenty-Five Year Award for a single structure of enduring architectural excellence. | |
