|
The spire of Grace Cathedral rises from a site atop Nob Hill that was donated by the Crocker family in 1906. The design solution by Turnbull Griffin Haesloop is based on the Cathedral's original plan. The vision of the grand stair is finally realized, revealing the façade of the Cathedral and its monumental bronze "Gates of Paradise" doors out to the city. The Cathedral House is replaced by the new Chapter House sited along the north side of the Cathedral and a large plaza with parking below connects all the Cathedral spaces. | |
