Sited on a knoll above Napa Valley and surrounded by vineyards, the house frames and captures the spectacular views of Mt. Veeder to the north and Mt. Diablo to the south while maintaing the sense of the knoll. The house pulls apart, allowing the hill to flow through, and a delicate entry hall bridges the two wings. Each wing of the house adapts its form to the contours of the hill, diminishing the apparent volume of the structure. A lavender-edged path leads down to a pool.
