Church Divinity School of the Pacific Master Plan / info >

The Church Divinity School of the Pacific is implementing phased improvements to their campus to address immediate and long-term needs, including a new teaching chapel and guest housing. Our first step was to study the existing hilltop campus, its topography and existing structures. By capitalizing on the natural site features and adapting existing buildings to new uses, we developed a site design strategy and building program that will effectively further the school’s teaching mission.

Our approach to the campus plan will give the new chapel prominence by reclaiming the hilltop and creating a series of defined outdoor spaces around it. Construction of the first phase of improvements is complete, and includes the renovation of Easton Hall as a conference center with guest housing and a seismic upgrade of Gibbs Hall, the oldest building on campus.
