The San Francisco School, a Montessori day school, occupies a site that fronts onto a residential street and backs onto Highway 280. The challenge was to find room to expand without consuming too much valuable outdoor play space. The two-story classroom building created a new entry for the campus and cheerful classroom spaces. An upper level walkway overlooks the play area below.
